It all started in a shoe shop in 1932. Back in 1932, shoemaker Jonas Lundhag began manufacturing shoes and boots in a small workshop in the Swedish wilderness region of Jämtland. His sense of quality, as well as function was just as pronounced as his love of nature. Since then, the knowledge and traditions have been handed down from generation to generation and even today you can find this special 'Lundhags feeling' in all of our products. Try one and you'll understand exactly what we mean. We don't know if it has to do with the climate, or if it simply is in our blood, but one thing is for certain: there is something special about the mentality of people in Jämtland. To say that we are stubborn is not really a cliché. When we do something we don't give up until we have accomplished exactly what we set out to do.

In 2012 Luci® was created, an inflatable solar light, with the goal of making an affordable clean energy product that people could use in any situation, from outdoor camping adventures to backyard parties to everyday living for people in developing countries without electricity. Luci taps into a source of light that's limitless and readily available to everyone on our planet - the sun. Advancements in renewable tech have given us the means to literally put the power of the sun into a device that fits in the palm of your hand. With Luci, we were aiming for something much bigger than convenience. We want to empower the lives of the 1.5 billion people living without electricity in developing countries. So we made a light that's clean and safe - pretty much the opposite of the toxic and expensive kerosene lamps so many depend on - because life doesn't stop after the sun goes down.

A special design was also the goal in the development of our Monolith series of bags. Each bag can be adapted to fit your particular requirements. They combine simple design and a high degree of functionality to create a unique concept. We aim to fuse the functionality of outdoor products with innovative design and thereby establish a concept that we call Outdoor Lifestyle. We design and develop products for any journey and for every day.

Driven by passion, and with the help of our friends, we created Millican in the summer of 2008. It took us nearly a year before we were happy to launch the first Millican collection of organic canvas rucksacks, shoulder bags, overnight bags, cooler bags and travel accessories. At Millican, we follow the path left by eco-adventure nut and godfather of sustainable living Millican Dalton. Like him, we want to inspire others to care for the planet. We want to tell wild stories. We want to write in leather bound books. Unlike him, we'll never live in a cave. Sorry.

In 2004, at the Summer Market Outdoor Retailer show in Salt Lake City, NEMO introduced its first line of backpacking and mountaineering tents. A few months later, the company won the 2005 ISPO BrandNew Award from Munich, Germany. Later in 2005, NEMO's products were named among the best inventions of the year by TIME Magazine, Reader's Digest, Men's Journal, and Popular Science. NEMO has also been recognized numerous times for its design with the Good Design Award from the Chicago Athenaeum, a Design Distinction honor from I.D. Magazine, and the 2006 Bottom Line Design Award from Business 2.0 and Frog Design. NEMO tents have also received numerous accolades from outdoor publications such as Backpacker Magazine's 2008 Best All-Around Mountaineering tent and Rock & Ice Editor Choice Award. Rob Zopfi, focusses on sales consultancy and training, customer relations and support of key accounts. Rob studied business engineering, and soon discovered his love for sales. But next to sales he wanted to educate and train people to perform better. He started at a renowned training company in the Netherlands and loved it so much that he decided to become a partner at the age of 32. In the years following the company developed and Rob became 100% owner and managing director. In 2011 he sold his shares and set out to find a new challenge. Loving life, sales and everything that is really durable and meaning full, he started ZOPFI.
Tom Ceulemans, is senior account manager and responsible for everything that is going on in Belgium, Luxembourg and our neighbouring countries. Tom started his career as a photographer in Brussels. Nature photography became his passion. Being Outdoors so much he made a career switch. He started at AsAdventure, the biggest outdoor retail chain in Belgium . He moved on from Assistant Store manager to Product Trainer Outdoor because of his outstanding knowledge of material use and product specifications. In 2014 he joined ZOPFI. The best move he ever made: so he says! Tom is a real team player and a driver behind the humor we share in the office everyday. This resulted in Tom becoming a business partner in ZOPFI in 2016.
Tom Mennen, is account manager for The Netherlands and responsible for the logistics within the company. Tom studied Physical Sports Education. During this study he came in contact with the outdoor sports. Here he discovered that good equipment is extremely important. After working a few years as an instructor in the Belgian Ardennes he started his career in sales. From Four Seasons he moved to Kathmandu to De Wit Schijndel. With these retailers he gained his product knowledge and sales experience with customers. Sustainable and high quality products is what he stands for and so representing the brands of ZOPFI fits this perfectly.
Anne, is in charge of PR. She shares a desk in our showroom and holds the fantastic job of telling the world how great our brands are. The easiest way to contact her is through e-mail. Just start with: "Hi Anne...." and the rest will follow!
Lea van Kuijk, is in charge of our wallet. From invoicing to accounting, to paying our bills Lea is in charge. Lea has been working for accounting firms all of her working life. Starting out as an assistant, during her carrier she turned into a completely allround financial wizard. She combines the care of her sons with working part time at ZOPFI.
